The Webster City volleyball team hosted Clear Lake on Thursday night for a senior night showdown. Before the game, the Lynx honored seniors Alayna Finucan, Kelly Stoakes, and Dasha Sankey.
The Lynx were slow out of the gate on Thursday, going down as much as 9-2 early in set 1. Webster City rallied, but fell 25-22 in the first set. Their response would be swift however, as they took down the Lions 25-18 in set 2, before a dominating set 3 win, by a score of 25-8. Webster City closed out the match with a 25-18 win in set 4.
Joslin Gourley had a big night from her setter spot, racking up 35 assists on the night. Sierra Rattenborg lead the team in kills with 13, while Reese Casey and Livia Kasch finished with 10 kills each. Alayna Finucan finished with 26 digs, which surpassed the 1,700 digs mark in her career.
