South Hamilton cross country compete in Roland-Story Invitational

The South Hamilton cross country teams made the short trek south on Highway 69 to compete in the Roland-Story Norsemen invitational on Thursday night. The meet saw both Hawks squads fair very well against good, local competiton.

On the girls side, South Hamilton finished 3rd in the meet with a point total of 104. Roland-Story, ranked 16th in Class 2A, took home the girls team title. The Hawks top runner was Annika Kienzle, who placed 12th in a time of 22:48. Sophomore Val Wagner was the second-highest finisher for the Hawks, placing 17th in a time of 22:58.

For the boys, South Hamilton finished 7th in the meet, with a point total of 171. The Ogden Bulldogs, the 6th-ranked team in Class 1A, took home the boys team title. The top-finisher for South Hamilton was Landon Grove, who finished 15th in a time of 18:44. Junior Eli Potter was the Hawks second-highest finisher, placing 24th in a time of 19:22.
