Jewell City Council approves the plan to bring a circus show this summer!

Circus fans will be happy to know that the Big Top is coming to the town of Jewell for a night of fun this summer. The Jewell City Council at their March 9th meeting gave their support for a circus show show on Thursday,August 6th in the City Park for two shows at 5:00 and 7:30 p.m. Ticket and circus information will be available soon.  The Jewell City Council agreed to disallow the use of King Street for the Farmer’s Market this summer. The vendors will use the empty lots on Main Street or Waterworks Park as safer options. The Jewell Farmer’s Market will be held each Saturday morning from 9:00 until 12 noon from June 6th until September 26th.

The council made a motion to approve a resolution for the submission of an application to the “Hometown Pride” program. The date of March 23rd was set for a public hearing at 7:15 p.m. for the vacating of an alley at 101 Reinhart in Jewell.  There was further discussion on the city budget of Jewell for the 2026-27 fiscal year. More information will be gathered and discussed at a future meeting.
