Zabel is the third announced candidate for Iowa House District 55 State Representative.

There will be a three-way race for Iowa House of Representative District 55 candidate in the June 2nd primary. Bryson Zabel is a rural Hampton resident and teacher. He is in his 10th year of teaching,including five years working remotely for a virtual school in the Oelwein Community School District. On his Facebook page, Zabel said he wants to support parental choice in education while also working with teachers and education organizations  to help retain teachers in the profession. He also said he supports fiscally responsible policies that allow taxpayers to keep more of their income. Zabel joins Beau Klaver and Brian Young in the race for the 55th House District this June. The winner will succeed Shannon Latham in the November election to serve Hamilton and Franklin Counties and portions of Story and Wright Counties in the Iowa State Legislature.
