Roland-Story boys track competes in Dickinson Relays at UNI

CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — The Roland-Story Norsemen boys track and field team opened their 2026 season on Monday afternoon, as they competed in the annual AD Dickinson Relays at the UNI Dome on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa.

Roland-Story’s top finish on Monday came courtesy of senior Cody Long, who placed 13th in the long jump with a mark of 20′ 8.5″, as Long also placed 50th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.32 seconds. CJ Lucchesi placed 34th in the 1600m run with a time of 5:01.56, as sophomore Cael Paulson placed 32nd in the high jump by clearing 5′ 6″. Cooper Triggs placed 72nd in the 60m dash with a time of 7.44 seconds, while Brody Kilstofte was 76th in 7.45 seconds. Roland-Story’s top relay finish would be in the boys 4×200, securing a top-20 finish by placing 17th in a time of 1:37.41 with the team of Kilstofte-Thoreson-Miksell-Crabbs, as the Norsemen’s 4×800 placed 30th in 9:06.22 with the team of Lucchesi-Willis-Dahlsten-Healy.

Roland-Story boys track and field returns to action on Friday, when they compete in the Class 2A session of the IATC Indoor State Championships at the Lied Rec Center on the campus of Iowa State, beginning at 4:30 PM.
