
The Iowa State Patrol released information on two accidents last Wednesday evening,June 4th.
Troopers were dispatched to 14th Street Northeast and Iowa Highway 3 in Clarion at 5:oo p.m. Reportedly an eastbound 2009 model Kawasaki UTV operated by Larry Mosdam of Clarion was traveling on the shoulder of Highway 3 when it turned northbound without signaling. The Mosdam UTV collied with an eastbound 2008 model Chevrolet Impala car driven by Andrew Eeekhoff of Belmond, The Mosdam UTV came to a rest in the middle of the lanes of traffic. Mosdam was transported to Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion by ambulance for treatment. Eekhoff escaped injury. Damage to both the Eekhoff car and to the Mosdam UTV were both estimated at $,1500 each.
A Fort Dodge motorcyclist was injured at 9:25 Wednesday night on Highway 169 on the south edge of Fort Dodge. Reportedly a northbound 2024 Aprila RSV4 motorcycle operated by Kyle Breiner of Fort Dodge lost control on the Highway. The motorcycle entered the east ditch throwing Breiner from his motorcycle. He was transported to Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Cent for treatment of his injuries. Damage to the motorcycle was estimated at $3000.
