Webster City High School celebrates new members into the National Honor Society.

Webster City High School inducted 24 new members into the National Honor Society on Sunday afternoon, March 2 at Prem Sahai Auditorium. The National Honor Society recognizes the students for their role in the classroom and the community. The society is known for its excellence in the four pillars of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

The new members of the Webster City National Honor Society are seniors Alivia Wahlert, Perla Torres, and Brooklin Watson. The junior members are Jack Barner, Josslyn Carden, Aiden Hrnicek, Carter Mickelson, Ashlee Nydegger, Addelyn Pruismann, Jameson Stansfield, Hailey Brim, Clara Grossoehme, Arlen Lake, Sean Morgan, Sylvia Otteros, Janey Putney, Bria Wallerich, Alivia Burns, Alivia Hector, Jackson Meyer, Brooklyn Neddermeyer, Ellie Peterson, Alexandra Severe and Ben Youngdale.

The current members of the society are Blake Berninghaus, Caroline Ehn, Karina Murray, Adysen Poppen, Cyra Christensen, Ethan Harms, Sydney Oswald, Gabe Ruby, Hank Christeson, Alondra Johnson, Emersen Paukert and Lydia VanDeer.

Featured speaker for Sunday’s program was Webster City FFA instructor Kurt Veldhuizen. The new officers for the local NHS chapter are Ashlee Nydegger as President, Jack Barner as Vice-President, Brooklyn Neddermeyer as Secretary with Janey Putney and Ben Youngdale as Co-Treasurers.
