Wright County Supervisors approve D.O.T. budget and road projects for 2013-14.

The Wright County Board of Supervisors on Monday approved the five year Department of Transportation budget and secondary road plan for the 2013-14 fiscal year. The projects for the year ahead will include work on five bridges in the county for improvement and expansion. There will be two repaving projects. The first one will be on county road R-65 from Wright County C-54 to Highway Three near Rowan. The second repaving project includes a stretch of Wright County C-20 from U.S. Highway 69 to the Franklin County line east of Belmond.  There are plans to patch and repair a four mile stretch of Wright County road R-65 southeast of Belmond.

In another matter, the Wright County Supervisors approved to extend the current lease for the Department of Human Services and Community and Family Resources on month by month basis through this June. Both departments will be moving into their new headquarters,the former First Citzens National Bank building sometime this spring.
