The Wright County Supervisors on Monday met with county engineer Adam Clemons on plans for the summer road maintenance projects.The work this year will include the work on blacktop edges to be painted on county roads in the northern half of Wright County north of highway 3. A bid in the amount of $42,891 was received for the work to begin sometime next month.
The Wright County Supervisors approved the purchase of a new garden tractor to be used for the courthouse grounds, the new Wright County Social Service Building and the south courthouse annex. The tractor will be purchase from Woolstock Implement at a cost of $23,000. The new unit will feature a snow blower, and a rotary broom to clean the dirt from the sidewalks. The new tractor will be ready for use in the next few weeks.
In another matter the supervisors revisited the decision on the employee retirement investment plan. The board voted to designate the Retirement Investment Club (RIC) to new county employees while Nationwide Insurance will continue to offer their plan for all current Wright County employees.
No objections were raised during the budget amendment hearing on Monday. The board went on to approve the amended budget with a decrease of approximately $7,493. The date of May 13 at 10:00 was set for an informational meeting for Drainage District 57 in Boone and Norway townships.
