Wright County Supervisor highlights

At their meeting this week the Wright County Board of Supervisors met with county engineer Adam Clemons to receive bids for the new engineer's office and technician lab in Clarion. There were 10 bidders with the contract awarded to the apparent low bid of $361,000 by Kolacia Construction,Incorporated of Fort Dodge. The project will begin next spring. The board also approved the final plans for replacing a bridge over Otter Creek on County Highway R-33 in Section 32 of Norway Township.

Wright County Economic Development Director Brad Hicks approved the sale of a 2005 Freightliner semi-tractor. The semi came into county possession following the default of a business loan. Three bids were received and the sale went to the high bid of $10,001 by Weifenbach Trucking out of Fonda. The county will proceed to other remedies to recover the remaining default balance.

The quarterly revenue report for the period ending September 30,2012 from the county recorder was approved showing a revenue of $91,407.
