Wright County Public Health director resigns.

 Longtime Wright County Public Health director Linda Klehm submitted her resignation to the Wright County Board of Supervisors at their Monday meeting. Klehm has served in her position for 20 years. Her resignation takes affect at the end of this year. Tiffany Mericle will take over as the new Public Health director on January 1,2014. Mericle will be training with Klehm to learn more about the new job. 

The Wright County Supervisors approved the road name designation for Sandy Beach Circle to be located on a cul de sac on the south side of Lake Cornelia. The new road is expected to have some new homes constructed in the coming months.

A cash donation in the amount of $6000 was approved by the Wright County Supervisors for the Goldfield Dam project. The money will be used for the renovation work on the dam that has been deteriorating in recent years.

In other matters, the Wright County Supervisors approved the merger of Drainage Districts  126 and 57 located north of Goldfield.

The board also  approved the hiring of a new case management employee in the county social service department. The position will be advertised with the person hired to handle case management duties in Wright and Humboldt counties.
