Webster City Thanksgiving happenings...

The Webster City Recreation and Public Grounds Department would like to invite all senior citizens to the annual Senior Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner at the Fuller Hall Gymnasium on Wednesday,November 21 at 12 noon. Turkey,table service and drinks will be provided. This year's sponsor is Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation from Webster City. All guests are asked to bring a covered dish to share. Please call  Fuller Hall at 832-9193 with your reservation and the dish you will bring. There is no fee for this potluck dinner.

On Thanksgiving Day, the Webster City Recreation Department will have the annual Turkey Trot beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Fuller Hall Recreation Center. This is a 5K run or walk with individual and team competition. Participants may sign up just before the race. The entry fee is two canned goods, to be donated to the Webster City Food Pantry. Refreshments will be offered to the individual and team competitors. For more information please call 832-9193.

The annual free Thanksgiving meal will be held again this year at Whoop-ti-doos on Thursday,November 22. The serving will be from 11 until 2 p.m. at 626 Second Street. The menu will feature turkey and dressing,mashed potatoes and gravy,dinner rolls, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie.For more information on being a volunteer at the meal or to make reservations please call Whoop-ti-doos at 832-3663.
