Webster City Police investigated two motor vehicle accidents over the weekend.

The K-Mart Parking lot was the scene of a two car accident shortly before noon Friday. Reportedly a 1994 Honda Civic operated by Margaret Brown of Duncombe was entering a parking space when her car accidentally struck an open door to a 2012 Toyota Avalon owned by Kathryn Hildebrand of Webster City. The Hildebrand car was parked at the time. Investigating officer Eric McKinley estimated the damage to the Brown car at $1000 and an estimated $1500 in damages to the Hildebrand car.

On Saturday afternoon, a car pickup accident was investigated in the parking lot at 305 Fairmeadow Drive.Reportedly a 1999 GMC Sierra pickup truck operated by Sean Godwin of Fort Dodge was traveling westbound through the lot when the right front bumper of his truck accidentally collided with the rear bumper of a 1997 Buick Park Avenue operated by Lorrie Johnson of Lehigh. The Johnson car was preparing to back out at the time. Investigating officer Brandon Pritchard estimated the damage to the Godwin pickup at $500 and no estimated damage to the Johnson car.
