Webster City Hotel Motel Tax Board reviews funding applications for finalists.

The Webster City Hotel-Motel Tax Board late Tuesday afternoon approved six of the eight requests for grant consideration. The six finalists are:

Art in Boone River Country-Sub Committee of the Webster City Pride Committee requesting $6,400 for next year's Art in Boone River Country Sculpture Event. This would include a children's art contest.

The City of Webster City requested $8,000 for a new Webster City.com website.

Webster City Bowl requesting $24,901.85 for system upgrades when they host bowling tournaments.

Webster City Community Theater requesting $6,904 for the Performing Arts Center.

Webster City Women's Club  requesting of $3,931 for a handicap ramp at the Jane Young House.

Wilson Brewer Historic Park Committee requesting $12,181 for the Wilson Brewer Historic Park Information Center.

The board voted down requests from the Border Brigade Archery Club and the Hamilton County Exposition.

The six selected by the board will be receiving written requests to appear at Webster City City Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday,December 4th to present information on their projects. The Hotel Motel Tax Board will make their recommendations to the City Council for final approval on December 17th.
