The Webster City Hotel Motel Tax Board voted down the request from Webster City Bowl for $24,901.The reason for turning down the request was that the board did not want to set a precedent of granting tax monies to a business where direct personal gain could be had.
The board will make a presentation at the Webster City City Council meeting on January 7th presenting the requested recommendations. It will be up to the council to make the final decision.
