The Webster City Fire Department responded to a report of a fire early Sunday morning at the Edward Mosbach residence at 2854 Fowler Avenue located about five miles southwest of Webster City. When firemen arrived on the scene the back of the residence was on fire. The apparent cause was coming from a wood burning exhaust pipe that overheated causing the siding and wood behind the siding to heat up. There was minor smoke discovered in the upstairs of the home. The smoke was then ventilated by a fan. Webster City firemen were on the scene for about an hour. There were no injuries and no further damage reported.
