Webster City Community Theater expansion update
Posted: Oct 30 2012 by ppowers

Progress continues to be made on the adddition to the Webster City Community Theatre. The foundation walls are in place, the basement floor has been poured and construction has begun with beams, stud walls, and floor joists in place for the lower level. Jaycox Construction will continue working to complete the first and second levels before winter. Jiffy Plumbing has been working on water and sewer lines. The Webster City Community Theater family is grateful to all who contributed and eagerly awaits the completion of the addition and having about 6,000 square feet of new space in which to expand. The fund raiser which began earlier this year also brought in donations to replace the auditorium seats. The new seats were ordered in April. Due to a shortage selected upholstery fabric and production issues at the assembly plant, the seats will not be installed in time for Webster City Community Theatre's first production of the season, "Don't Hug Me I'm Pregnant". The vendor has provided very nicely padded, sturdy folding chair to be used in the interim. The board and building committee deeply regret this inconvenience, but trust the audience will find these chairs a comfortable temporary alternative.
