Webster City City Council meets Monday and Wednesday evenings.

There will be two meetings for the Webster City City Council this next week. The regular council meeting will be at 7:00 Monday evening in the council chambers. The agenda includes a motion on a Hotel/Motel Tax Board recommendation for funding, consider a resolution establishing the rules, regulations and fees in connection with Webster City hosting RAGBRAI on July 24 and departing July 25. A motion on a request to contract pothole patching on designated streets will be discussed. There will be a resolution approving a preliminary official statement pertaining to water bonds.

In other matters, the Webster City City Council will consider a resolution providing for the issuance and securing the payment of future obligation for the purposes of borrowing money for Webster City's Municipal Electric Utility. A motion on a request from the Hamilton County Fair Board for sponsorship during the fair set for July 23 thruogh 29 will be considered. The  Webster City City Council will consider a resolution approving the fire department work agreement for 2012-15 and approving the execution of the same by the City Manager. There will be a motion on a Tax Increment Financing request from First State Bank.A motion on additional funding for the Depot Roof project at Wilson Brewer Historic Park will be discussed.

A public hearing will take place at 7:00 on the 2012 Street Resurfacing Project.

 

On Wednesday evening there will be a council work session on Organizational Effectiveness with Jeff Schott of the Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Iowa.The work session begins at 5:00 at City Hall.
