A celebration of the 2011-12 season and looking ahead to this year highlighted the annual Webster City Community Theater meeting and recognition dinner on September 30th with about 40 people in attendance.The cast and crew members of Murder in Black and White, The Dining Room, Harvey and Once Upon A Mattress were recognized with magnetic picture frames. Abby Sturtevent presented Willing Workers Awards to Kelly Trask, Laraine Crawford and Shelby Kroona. The Friend of Webster City Community Theater Award was given to Dennis Plain. This year's President's Award went to Bill, Josi, Eric and Kirk Greenley for everything their family has done for the Webster City Community Theater family. Next season's shows will be "Don't Hug Me I'm Pregnant" directed by Loween Getter and Don Anderson with six performances beginning November 9th. "Sleeping Indoors" directed by Bill Greenley and Angela Rottering from February 15 to 17 and 22 to 24, 2013. "Adorabelle and the Silly Seven" which will be the children's show directed by Al Yungclas April 12 to 14 and April 19 to 21, 2013. Next summer's musical is "Nunset Boulevard" directed by Loween Getter is scheduled for July 10,11, 13, 14,and 18 through 21, 2013.
Rehearsals for Don't Hug Me I'm Pregnant are underway. It's the fourth show in the "Don't Hug Me' series written by Phil Olson with music by Paul Olson. Featured in the cast will be Ken Theobald as Gunner, Mary Sealine as Clara, Wil Groves as Kanute, Marcia Fritz as Bernice and Dan Corrow as Aarvid. Tickets go on sale November 3rd.
