Former Iowa Governor and current U.S.Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will make an appearance in Webster City this Wednesday evening, October 31 from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Hamilton County Democratic headquarters, 600 Second Street.Vilsack will be campaigning on behalf of his wife,Christie Vilsack as she is running for the Iowa Fourth U.S. Congressional District in the November 6th election. Special guest will be Democratic candidate for the Iowa House Distrirct 48 seat, Becky Perkovich of Napier. The former governor will make a similar stop in Clarion Wednesday from 4:45 until 5:45 p.m. at Grounded at 118 North Main Street.

In other political news,Vice President Joe Biden will appear in Fort Dodge this Thursday,November 1 at the Fort Museum Opera House with doors to the event to open at 2:00 p.m.Tickets for the event may be picked up at the Webster County Democratic headquarters at 1014 Central Avenue in Fort Dodge this Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m.
