Three people were injured Sunday night in a one vehicle accident on Highway 7 in rural Webster County. The Iowa State Patrol reported a 1995 Ford van driven by 54 year old Anthony Barnes of Storm Lake was heading eastbound when the driver drove off the right shoulder of the highway. As Barnes attempted to gain control of the van, it went into the south ditch striking a power pole owned by Mid American Energy of Fort Dodge. Barnes and his passengers 34 year old Kawana Sandlin and 25 year old Dion Caldwell were transported to Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge for treatment of their injuries.Damage to the van was estimated at $4000. Investigating trooper Kyle Kluender charged Anthony Barnes with  Failure to Maintain Control, Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated Third Offense and Driving While License Denied or Revoked.
