Stratford Community School Board faces a varied agenda.

At their recent meeting the Stratford Community School Board learned the district was recognized as a Platinum Performer for completing and certifying the Certified Enrollment in a timely manner. Superintendent Sarah Binder informed the board that this year's enrollment was at 164 students.

The Stratford school district has been asked to participate in a pilot project with Learning.Com.The program helps teachers select lessons and activities most suited for individuals,small groups and whole groups. Learning.Com will provide will follow the child's progress in the classroom on a year by year basis.This program is aligned with the Iowa Core Curriculum.

Stratford School is using the Iowa School Alert System where families register and receive alerts by text message or email when school is delayed, dismissed early or canceled. The school will also look into getting district cell phones to use in these situations.

A multiple year snow removal bid from Kim Jensen was approved. The recent parent teacher conference was a success with 100% participation. Board members also approved the firm of Nolte,Cornman and Johnson,P.C. for the school audit for fiscal years 2013 and 2014.
