Stormy night in north central Iowa

Severe weather was reported in portions of the KQWC listening area Monday evening. Hamilton and several surrounding counties were under severe thunderstorm warnings during the early portion of the evening. Golf ball sized hail was reported near Blairsburg ,Jewell and east of Webster City. There was also the report of some tree damage in the Dows area due to the report of winds gusting up to 60 miles per hour late yesterday afternoon. Webster City received 45 hundredths of an inch of rain from the storm. Weather conditions should be pleasant today with highs in the upper 70s being forecast this afternoon. A picture from a listener from Woolstock shows the hail in the community early Monday evening.
