Refinished Crippen Bridge Plaque Remounted

Many people commented on Memorial Day about the absence of the Marshall Crippen Bridge Plaque on North Des Moines Street over the Boone River. The plaque needed refinishing. The work is now complete with the plaque now remounted.Webster City American Legion Post 191 Commander Doug Johnson wishes to thank Rick Timm of Timm's Auto Body and Second Vice Commander Doug Luppes for voluntarily doing the work. Luppes made the mounting brackets and remounted the plaque on the east side, near the bridge's center. Timm did the refinishing and also straightened out the James E. Wedding plaque on the East Bank Street bridge.
