Randall City Council looks at plans for a new fire station.

 At their meeting on Tuesday, the Randall City Council learned of several donations of cash and in kind work  have been secured for the construction of a new fire station. Building costs and design are still in process at this time. The parties in the old fire station building are still interested in purchasing the structure for future plans. There was also a discussion on the city of Randall being approached by the property owners of the post office building about accepting the building as a gift to the city. After the discussion about the current condition of the building and the unknown occupancy length of time the council decided not to accept the gift. 

The Hamilton County S.E.E.D. Economic Development office contact the Randall City Clerk about the possibility of rejoining S.E.E.D. There was no additional discussion at this time.

The council was reminded about the upcoming city election on November 5. Posters will be posted so that citizens are aware of the opportunity to seek the nomination for mayor and three council members. The filing for the council seats can be made between August 26 through September 19.
