No change in Hamilton County unemployment numbers.

Hamilton County's unemployment rate for October remained unchanged, The Iowa Workforce Development office announced Tuesday the rate was at 6.1% which was the same rate in September. There were 6,450 people employed across the county while 420 people were without work. Iowa's unemployment rate for October was at 5.1% down from September's rate of 5.2% The unemployment rates for surrounding counties last month included Boone County at 3.8%, Franklin County at 3.9%, Hardin County at 4.9%, Story County at 3.4%, Webster County at 6.0% and Wright County at 4.9%.
