Posted: May 06 2013 by ppowers

The public is invited to join the Friends of Little Wall Lake and Boy Scout Troop 520 to help clean up the shores of Little Wall Lake on Saturday,May 11. The group will gather at the South Boat Ramp at 9 a.m. and begin collecting trash along the shore and in the shallow water. The public is asked to bring trash bags and gloves. If you have a flat bottom boat that you can pull along in the water, it would be most welcome. Friends of Little Wall Lake is a volunteer non profit group dedicated to improving conditions at Little Wall Lake in Hamilton County. The goal is to ensure that the lake remains a recreational vacation destination for all who wish to come and enjoy the area. The organization recently received an Enhance Hamilton County grant to help pay to pump water into the lake this spring and bring the water level back up so it's safe for boating and recreation activities.
