Jewells of the Underground coming to Briggs Woods Park on March 2.

 The Hamilton County Conservation Department is sponsoring a program entitled "Jewells of the Underground" on Saturday,March 2 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the Briggs Woods Park Conservation office located south of Webster City.You are invited to come and discover karst and what is unique about these fragile geololgical areas of Iowa. The program will focus on where most of Iowa's caves are located and what types of rocks they form in.You can see how most caves were formed by water and later explored by humans. There will be information on what equipment is used for cave exploring and to explore a tight crawling space. The program is for all ages.
