Jewell motorist injured in Tuesday morning accident.

 A 17 year old rural Jewell motorist was injured Tuesday morning in a one vehicle accident four miles southwest of Jewell at the intersection of 380th Street and Nelson Avenue.The Iowa State Patrol reported a northbound 2000 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by Caleb Olson was approaching 380th Street when he apparently failed to stop at a stop sign. The Olson pickup attempted to make a right hand turn, failed to maintain control and then rolled into a nearby ditch. Caleb Olson was transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames by the Jewell Fire and EMS Ambulance for treatment of injuries. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department and the Ellsworth Jewell Stanhope Police assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.Charges are pending against the driver.
