Iowa State Patrol investigate car pickup accident in Webster County on Friday.

Details of a car pickup accident in rural Webster County Friday morning were released Monday by the Iowa State Patrol. The accident happened at Highway 169 north of Webster County Road D-43. Reportedly a northbound 2003 Toyota Camry driven by Misty Pickens of Boone lost control after a passenger in her car was attempting to get a purse for the driver. The passenger accidentally activated the emergency brake of the car. The Pickens auto then crossed the centerline colliding with a southbound 2007 Ford F-25 pickup truck driven by Tracy Faith of Duncombe. Both vehicles landed in the west ditch. There were no injuries reported. Both vehicles received were totalled. Investigating trooper Parman cited Misty Pickens with Failure to Maintain Control and Driving While License Suspended.
