Improper usage at the city recycling container on East Ohio Street.
Posted: Oct 10 2013 by ppowers

City officials have noticed improper usage of the city recycling container located near the grass and leaf site on East Ohio Street

Over the past three months officials state that bio-hazard material such as syringes have been placed in the recycling container.  These items are not allowable and present a real danger to the public.  The recycling container is only to be used for the recycling of #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 7 plastic containers, clear glass jars, tin & aluminum cans, newspaper, junk mail, magazines, corrugated cardboard and paper board like cereal boxes and pop boxes.

The city encourages citizens to use the recycling container properly or it will be removed.

If you witness improper use of the container, or for additional information, please contact the Webster City Police Department at 515-832-9166.
