Troy Hassebrock of Blairsburg was reappointed as the chairman of the Hamilton County Solid Waste Commission at their first meeting of the year on Wednesday night. Lendall Mechaelsen was named as vice chairperson of the commission for 2013. Hasebrock and Dale Graham were appointed as representatives  with Lendall Mechaelsen and Wes Sweedler appointed as the alternates to serve on the North Central Iowa Regional Solid Waste Agency for 2013. Commission members discussed the purchase of a trailer for the landfill. Landfill manager Terry Klaver will pursue the purchase of a 48 foot trailer with a third axle from Mac Trailers. He will report to the commission on the possible purchase next month.
