Hamilton County Crimestoppers need your help.

 The Webster City Police Department has been investigating a series of burglaries that have occurred during the past several months. Police Chief Brian Hughes said these burglaries have only involved vacant commercial and residential properties. The perpetrators are stealing its copper pipes and wiring from the home. Scrap metal is selling at a premium price which has increased thefts of this nature all across Iowa. The department's investigation has produced two suspects but it still needs further information to make an arrest.The Hamilton  County Crimestoppers organization is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible. The reward money was generously donated by the Webster City Multiple Listing Service and the City of Webster City. Anyone having information about these crimes is encouraged to contact Crimestoppers at 515-832-8437.
