Gray honored for service to the community.

Former Webster City City Councilman Eugene Gray (left) was honored by mayor Doug Getter (right) Wednesday afternoon with a special plaque for Gray's service to the community. Gray recently retired from the Hamilton County Solid Waste Commission for 12 years of service. Gray served on the Webster City City Council from 1978 to 1983, 1985 and from 2002 to 2009. Gray was mayor of Webster City in 1980,1982 and from 2004 to 2009. Gray said he served during special community events including the centennial of the Webster City Fire Department in 1980, the 125th birthday of Webster City in 1982 and the 150th birthday in 2007.
