It's another exciting day to enjoy the 2013 Hamilton County Fair. Today's 4-H and FFA activities include the judging of Junior Breeding and Market Sheep at 8:00 a.m.. The Older 4-H Lamb Barbecue is set for 12 noon. The Dairy Cow and Goat show will be held in the show arena at 3:00 p.m. The Bottle Lamb and Goat show will be held in the show arena at 5:00 p.m. The Pride of Iowa Contest is set for 5:00 p.m.in the Co-op Building. A Beef Grooming Clinic and Contest Team event is set for 7:00 this evening. The open class judging event of the day will be Fine Arts judging set for 10 this morning at the Floral Hall.
Other events today include a pancake breakfast from 7:00 until 8:30 at the Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation tent sponsored by the Hamilton County Fair Foundation. All of the 4-H and commercial exhibits will be open from 11:00 until 9:00 p.m. Hypnotist Brian Imbus will perform at 1:00, 3:00 and 5:00 this afternoon on the Ed Prince stage.Smith Amusements will open their midway at 2:00 this afternoon with arm bands on the midway from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. The pedal pull will be held at 3:30 south of the Co-op building sponsored by the Hamilton County Farm Bureau and Farm Bureau Insurance Agents. There will be a trivia contest set for 4:00 p.m. at the Ed Prince Stage. Ten $10 drawings for those 12 and under will be held at 6:00 this evening at Hamilton Plaza sponsored by Webster City Federal Savings Bank. Tonight's grandstand event is Thursday Night Thunder with hot laps at 6:30 and the racing to follow. There will be late model, modified, stock cars, sport mods,hobby stock and sports compacts.
The Hamilton County Fair continues through Sunday with trailer races, hound and hare race and fireworks set for Friday night, more race action set for Saturday night and the demolition derby set for Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m.
