Posted: Nov 09 2012 by ppowers

Police in Fort Dodge at mid afternoon Thursday were called to 1215 1/2 South 22nd Street to investigate a disturbance. 21 year old Amber Rosendahl of Fort Dodge told officers that an ex-boyfriend had forced his way into the residence and assaulted her. Rosendahl said the subject fled when she heard the sirens of the approaching officers. Rosendahl described the subject as a black male wearing a sweat shirt and blue jeans. During the incident Rosendahl suffered a cut to her upper left arm. A short time late Officer Leighton Walker arrived in the area of the incident. He observed a white 1983 Chevrolet Caprice with no license plates occupied by two black male subjects at 15th Avenue South and South 22nd Street. When Officer Walker attempted to stop the vehicle the driver fled the scene. Officer Walker pursued the vehicle for approximately a minute before the driver lost control and crashed the car into a yard at 1139 South 28th Street. Two black males ran from the car and were able to escape on foot in the neighborhood. Witnesses described one suspect as a black male, medium build, and short wearing a dark colored sweatshirt and dark pants. The second suspect was described as taller than the first, slender build wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. If you have any information on these incidents you are asked to call the Fort Dodge Police Department at 515-573-1426.
