Fort Dodge police investigate Sunday night robbery.

 Police in Fort Dodge responded to a report of a robbery late Sunday night at the Sinclair convenience store at 309 Second Avenue South. When officers arrived,they spoke with two of the store employees who stated that they had been robbed by a male at knife point.The clerks were preparing to close the store for the night when the suspect entered the store and brandished a large kitchen knife before ordering both employees to the floor. The suspect demanded money then threatened to cause serious injury to both employees. The male suspect then fled the store taking an undetermined amount of money from one of the employees. Through the on scene investigation, officers identified the suspect as 27 year old Nathaniel Lee Altman of the Fort Dodge and Humboldt area. Officers processed the crime scene at the convenience store and continued to attempt to locate Altman but have not been able to locate him. On Monday, the Webster County Attorney's Office and Fort Dodge Police issued two arrest warrants for Altman in reference to the robbery of the downtown Sinclair store. Altman is being sought on warrants for First Degree Robbery and First Degree Theft. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Nathaniel Altman are asked to call Webster County Crimestoppers in Fort Dodge at 515-573-1444.
