Fort Dodge man facing burglary and criminal mischief charges after an incident early Thursday morning.

Fort Dodge Police arrested 18 year old Nickolas Morton Dixon of Fort Dodge early Thursday morning after a citizen alerted officers of Dixon hiding in bushes. The citizen notified officers that Dixon was hiding behind Yomi's Hidden Treasure at 422 South 8th Street trying to break into the business. The officers then investigated. A short time later Dixon was apprehended after he ran from Yomi's to a wooded area. Officers discovered several items taken from the business. Dixon is facing charges of Third Degree Burglary, Interference with Official Acts and Fifth Degree Criminal Mischief. He was transported to the Webster County Jail on the charges filed against him.
