Five people injured in Tuesday afternoon accident south of Fort Dodge.

 The Iowa State Patrol investigated an accident Tuesday afternoon  at the junctions of Highways 169 and 20 south of Fort Dodge. Reportedly a 2005 Chevrolet Uplander minivan driven by Niki Cooper of Sheldon was starting across Highway 169 traveling east to enter the onramp to eastbound Highway 20 . After stopping at a stop sign, the Cooper minivan failed to see a southbound semi driven by Forrest Van Dorn of Polk City. The minivan and semi collided at the scene.  Cooper and her four passengers, Cody Cooper, Nic Bomgaars,and  Dominic Siever all of Sheldon and Jake Roos of Ashton were transported to Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge for treatment of their injuries and later released. Van Dorn escaped injury in the accident. The accident remains under investigation.
