Deadline approaching for Webster City:Warm Hearts,Warm Homes
Posted: Oct 09 2012 by ppowers

Webster City Warm Hearts Warm Homes is a community partnership project designed to bring volunteers together to perform free energy saving measures on homes of elderly, disabled, and low income neighbors across the Webster City community. These measures are simple, yet effective and may include caulking, weather stripping, window plastic, door sweeps and other insulating techniques. This year's event will take place on Saturday, November 3rd. The planning committee reminds all interested home owners who would like to take advantage of this program to contact Justin Jones at 641-580-0330 or go to the Black Hills Energy office at 644 First Street in Webster City before this Friday, October 12. Volunteers are also still needed. If your organization, business or church would like to volunteer to be part of the event with a six member team, contact Justin Jones no later than Wednesday, October 17th. Tasks are easy to do and training will be provided. You don't have to be experienced, just have a willingness to help others. Volunteers are also needed to help at Fuller Hall during the morning. This is a great opportunity for those who are not able to assist with the actual weatherization work. The deadlines are important so the proper amount of materials can be ordered.
