Car SUV Accident in Hamilton County investigated on I-35 Wednesday morning.

A car SUV accident seven miles north of Ellsworth on Interstate 35 at mid morning Wednesday was investigated by the Iowa State Patrol. Reportedly a southbound 2006 Chevrolet Impala driven by Dean Gunsallus of Manly was traveling in the right hand lane of the highway.The Gunsallus car was preparing to move into the left bound lane of the traffic to allow a semi to come onto the highway from a nearby onramp.Gunsallus apparently failed to see another southbound vehicle which was a 2009 Mazda SUV driven by Amanda Donohoe of Story City. The Gunsallus car struck the right rear side of the Donohoe SUV.There were no injuries reported. The damage to the Gunsallus car was estimated at $4000 and an estimated $2000 in damage was done to the Donohoe SUV. Investigating trooper Mark Anderson cited Dean Gunsallus with Improper Use of Lanes.
