Brown named as new Webster City Chamber Director

The Webster City Area Development Chamber has announced that Deb Brown will assume the responsibilities of Chamber Director effective March 4. Brown accepts the position vacated by Carrie Fitzgerald in January. Webster City Area Development-Chamber President Jeanne Hill said that Brown has years of experience to the Webster City Chamber as well as plenty of energy and excitement to help make a difference in Webster City. Brown has spent the last four years as Communication Director for the Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. Brown sits on the Franklin County Historical Society Board, the financial secretary at the Geneva United Methodist Church and an active volunteer in Hampton and in Franklin County. Brown has been responsible for all aspects of the Greater Franklin County Chamber's communications including but not limited to, offline and online marketing. The Greater Franklin County Chamber also includes Franklin County Tourism and Hampton Main Street organizations under their main umbrella. Brown has assisted with membership management, media relations, grant writing and fundraising, and organizing events. Brown curates and hosts the State of Now Conference in Des Moines, speaks at various social media conferences around the country and has worked with the Iowa Museum Association on leading interactive programs. She has taught marketing classes for North Iowa Area Community College and had been their program director in Hampton for the past two years.Brown was born and raised in Geneva,Iowa and educated in Iowa and having lived 30 years in Chicago.
