Bailey named as Hamilton County Supervisor Chairman for 2013.

Doug Bailey was named Hamilton County Supervisor Chairman for 2013 during Wednesday's annual organizational meeting of the Supervisors. Bailey takes over for David Young who served as chairman during 2012. Bailey and Wes Sweedler were administred the oath of office after they were re-elected last November to a four year term. Shari Vermett was sworn in Wednesday morning as Hamilton County Treasurer. Vermett succeeds Deb Leksell as she retired after 27 years on December 31st.

Kim Schaa was sworn in as County Auditor by David Young during the annual organizational meeting Wednesday morning. Schaa was re-elected last November for a four year term.

Denny Hagenson was sworn in to another four year term as Hamilton County Sheriff. 2012 Supervisor Chairman David Young administered the oath of office to Hagenson. 

The supervisors also approved resolutions for the appointment of staff by newly elected and appointed officials, providing the authority to the County Treasurer to invest county funds and to designate the Hamilton County Engineer as the person to certify the completion of work and final acceptance of Farm-to-Market and federal aid projects. Hours for the courthouse will continue to be from 8:00 until 4:30 P.M. weekdays with the meetings of the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors to continue on the second and fourth Tuesday mornings at 9:00 a.m.. There were also numerous appointments to boards and commissions for 2013.
