Ag Lunch and Learn set for this Friday at the Hamilton County Extension Service Office.

The next session of the Ag Lunch and Learn will be held this Friday, February 8 from 12 noon until 2:00p.m. at the Hamilton County Extension Office. The featured speaker will be Ag Engineer Kapil Arora. He will discuss  Industrial Corn Stover Harvest. Crop producers, land owners and others interested in this topic are encouraged to attend. Corn stover relates to the above ground plant biomass left on the field including stalks, leaves and cobs after the grain is harvested. Research based information will be offered related to harvesting and storage techniques of the corn stover. A discussion on selling the material for ethanol will also take place. A free catered lunch will be offered prior to the program to those who pre-register. There is no fee to attend. To pre-register, please call the Hamilton County ISU Extension Service Office at 515-832-9597. Pre-registration for each session is required as space is limited.
