Hamilton County’s “Kitty City” in Stanhope, Iowa needs to be SAVED! They need $5,000 before September 1, 2015 in order to save their building. They are asking for monetary donations to keep the building. If you wish to make a payment directly to the bank, please contact Kitty City by calling 515-826-cats (515-826-2287). They also have a “Go Fund Me” page that you can make a donation along with a “Paypal” account.

Other things that are needed include: money for utilities (contact Stanhope Utility company directly), money for vaccinations (contact Jewell Vet Clinic directly), kitty litter, toys, food, etc. Visit their Facebook page by typing in “Kitty City Stanhope Iowa” for more information. Volunteers of Kitty City are even selling their own personal items on the Facebook page just to help raise money to save the building. Please help them today!!mortgage by September 1st. I know, not much time, and alot of money. We think, we KNOW, we are worth it. And we are willing to put in the work, hitting the streets, adoption events, selling items, and flat out begging for money to save us! Our one year anniversary is coming up in October. In that one year we have helped rescue over 75 cats, and several dogs, not to mention turning an abandoned apartment into a liveable licensed cat rescue, with brand new flooring, cat climbers, shelves, paint, and more! There are alot more lives we want to help save! Can you help us? We have an adoption event planned for August 15th at the great pet friendly ' Treats on a Leash' in Ames, where we may be offering free pedicures for cats and dogs for donations. We also have stocked up on tshirts, brochures, and information for our *already paid for* booth at the IA Pet Expo in October. We are open to any and all suggestions on where to turn to, who to ask, what to do, and how you can help us. We have some great rescue friends helping us out, who dont want to see us close. The last thing Iowa needs is to lose one of the few cat only, no kill rescues! Stay tuned, we will post updates as soon as they come in. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers, and share the word, WE NEED HELP ANIMAL LOVERS!
