The December 6th Monthly MarketplACE will feature crafts, repurposed items, fleece blankets and wraps, home sewing, doll clothes, Christmas decor, homemade bread, candy, estate items, teapots, jewelry, winter scarves & hats, stuffed animals and much more! Local businesses and vendors are donating raffle prizes. Traditional holiday treats will be featured as snacks and lunch from the ACE kitchen. Santa is expected to stop by. The MarketplACE is a fun place to shop, talk, eat, sell, and share ideas. Call ACE if you are interested in being a vendor, cook, or volunteer.
Roland-Story PTO Craft Fair
Discover a wide variety of unique creations at the Roland-Story PTO Craft Fair. A $1 donation for admission includes a raffle ticket for special items donated by the crafters, including Christmas decor, a stained glass panel, and a Norse yard sign. A concession stand will be serving delicious lunch and snack items. Proceeds will benefit field trips for elementary and middle school students.

Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Monthly Support Group for Caregivers
Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Center is hosting a monthly support group for caregivers. It is jointly sponsored by the facility, the Alzheimer's Association, Iowa Hospice, and Wright County Public Health and Hospice. Meetings are held at the facility every second Thursday of the month from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The support group is for those that are caregivers to someone in a care facility or for those living in their home. Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Center's Activities Department will be providing entertainment for your loved one during the meeting. Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Center is located at 110 13th Ave. S.W. If you have questions please call Carla Kem at 515-532-2893.
2014 Grief Support Groups
A Grief Support Group, for anyone who has ever experienced a loss of a loved one, is being offered to anyone in the community wanting to participate. This Support Group will be offered 3 times per year -- February and March, June and July, September and October. They will also present a 3 week class, "Surviving the Holidays" in November.
The support group will be held on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the Stephen Ministry Room of First Congregational United Church of Christ, located at 1000 Willson Avenue, in Webster City, Iowa. This room is accessible via and elevator or stairway to the basement of the church. The support group is non-denominational -- anyone needing a grief support group is invited to attend.

Special Christmas MarketplACE
Upper Des Moines Opportunity, including the Food Pantry, is moving to 711 Seneca Street leaving space at ACE to continue the Christmas MarketplACE through December 20th. After the December 6th MarketplACE, the UDMO space will continue to be filled with holiday cheer so that everyone can continue sharing, shopping, decorating, snacking, singing, and finding special, adorable gifts for the entire family. Vendors can rent an 8' by 4' space for $30 for the 2 weeks. They will be expected to volunteer to "watch the shop" for 8 hours each week. Call the ACE if you are interested in being a donor, vendor, volunteer, or need more information.
