Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Monthly Support Group for Caregivers
Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Center is hosting a monthly support group for caregivers. It is jointly sponsored by the facility, the Alzheimer's Association, Iowa Hospice, and Wright County Public Health and Hospice. Meetings are held at the facility every second Thursday of the month from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The support group is for those that are caregivers to someone in a care facility or for those living in their home. Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Center's Activities Department will be providing entertainment for your loved one during the meeting. Grief Support Group
A Grief Support Group, for anyone who has ever experienced a loss of a loved one, is being offered to anyone in the community wanting to participate. This Support Group will be offered 3 times per year -- February and March, June and July, September and October. They will also present a 3 week class, "Surviving the Holidays" in November.
The support group will be held on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the Stephen Ministry Room of First Congregational United Church of Christ, located at 1000 Willson Avenue, in Webster City, Iowa. This room is accessible via and elevator or stairway to the basement of the church. The support group is non-denominational -- anyone needing a grief support group is invited to attend.
You can enroll in a support group by calling the church office at 515-832-2232, and by giving your name and phone number. The first group begins on February 2, 2014.
Jewell/Ellsworth Communities Blood Drive
Jewell / Ellsworth Communities Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm. This will be at Jewell United Church of Christ Community Room, 537 Main Street in Jewell. Informational Workshops for the Affordable Care Act
UDMO of North Central Iowa has a marketing and outreach program for the Affordable Care Act, and they are presenting informational workshops. This is a presentation to explain why it is important to sign up for health insurance, as well as learn about the tax credits and subsidies available to help reduce the costs. The deadline for people to sign up for health insurance is March 31, 2014.
Workshop dates, times, and locations are as follows:
March 5th - Webster City - All Cultures Equal (UDMO) 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm
March 6th - Eagle Grove - Public Library 10:00 AND in Eagle Grove - UDMO (Main Street) 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm

Poplar Grove Speedway Annual Banquet
You are invited to the Poplar Grove Speedway Annual Banquet to be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Fuller Hall Recreation Center, located at 625 Bank Street, in Webster City, Iowa. Soup and sandwich buffet along with drinks will be offered at no charge to all in attendance, with the meal starting at 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. The Awards Program will start at 12:30 pm. Swimming offered from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, bring your swimming suit and towel -- Lifegaurd provided at No Charge. The Recreation Time will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, also at no charge.
Season point trophies will be awarded to all racers that raced at the track during the 2013 race season. Many door prizes will be up for grabs to those racers in attendance. 2014 Schedules are ready and will be handed out at this Banquet.

Lenten Luncheon Schedule for 2014
The Eagle Grove Area Ministerial Association is sponsoring Lenten Luncheons beginning the Thursday after Ash Wednesday. Each Thursday, for six Thursdays, the lunch will begin at 12:00 Noon and end around 1:00 pm. There is a Free Will Offering for the lunch. The pastor of the host church will give a short meditation. Please call host church for reservations by Tuesday of each week.

Pony Express Riders Dance
Hamilton Saddle Club & Pony Express Riders are hosting a Fundraising Dance..."Travis Klingson and Jake Grossnickle Band" will be playing at the dance on March 29, 2014 at the Kamrar Lions Club in Kamrar, Iowa. Doors open at 7:00 pm and the music starts at 8:00 pm. There will be a Live Auction, Silent Auction, and a Raffle -- Half of the proceeds will go to Camp Sunnyside. There is a $5.00 cover charge at the door, and BYOB.
Black Knights Car Club Dance
The Black Knights Car Club will be hosting a fund raiser by having a Dance on Saturday, March 15, 2014. Music will be performed by "The Senders" at the Estherville Elks Club. Tickets are $10.00. Dance starts at 8:00 pm. Come and enjoy the music!!
St. Thomas Aquinas Lenten Dinners
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, located on Des Moines Street in Webster City, will be hosting a series of Lenten Fish Dinners, in the gym of the church. They will be serving from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm , on every Friday during Lent, except on Good Friday. The serving dates are: March 7th, 14th, 21st, and in April on the 4th and the 11th. The cost is $7.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Children ages 6-11 years. Kids 5 years old and under eat for free! Families from the same household will only be charged a maximum of $20.00.
They will serve Baked Cod or Mac & Cheese, Cheesy Hash Browns, Choices of several sides and deserts, and a Roll from Fuhs' Bakery.
