Zombie 5K Run
Zombie 5K Run - sign up as a "SURVIVOR" or volunteer to be a " ZOMBIE" Oct. 25th at Eagle Grove Golf Course starting at 1pm. Waves will be leaving every 10 minutes until 5pm. $25/per person BEFORE 10/1/14 or $30 AFTER. T-Shirts are included in price. Teams can consist up to 10 people. Additional lives: 2 for $5. All proceeds support the Parent Connection to prevent child abuse in Hamilton, Humboldt and Wright Counties. Registration forms can be found on "Building Families" Facebook page. Questions? Eagle Grove United Methodist Church Harvest Blessings Bazaar
Saturday, October 25th -coffee at 8:30am with lunch served from 11am-1pm featuring creamed chicken on biscuits, salads, pie and beverage for $7.50.
Also offering baked goods, candy, crafts, cutlery, nuts, home décor , holiday items and more.
WC To DC
Webster City Middle School 8th grade students going to Washington DC will be having a can drive on Saturday Nov 8th. Place your beverage cans and bottles on the curb that day by 8:00am. The students and their parents will pick up your donated items. If you need them picked up before then or any questions call 832-5341. WC to DC thanks you for your participation.
Breast Cancer Benefit - Michelle Throntveit Enriquez (WCHS alumni)
On January 13th, 2014, Michelle Throntveit Enriquez (46 yrs old) was diagnosed with stage 3a Breast Cancer. Michelle graduated from Webster City High School in 1987. Michelle is married with 2 daughters to care for. She has had surgery, chemotherapy and radiation... and will have another surgery in the spring. Please come to the benefit and enjoy food, a silent auction and a DJ to help raise money for Michelle and her family. Everyone's welcome!!
Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Monthly Support Group for Caregivers
Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Center is hosting a monthly support group for caregivers. It is jointly sponsored by the facility, the Alzheimer's Association, Iowa Hospice, and Wright County Public Health and Hospice. Meetings are held at the facility every second Thursday of the month from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The support group is for those that are caregivers to someone in a care facility or for those living in their home. Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Center's Activities Department will be providing entertainment for your loved one during the meeting. 2014 Grief Support Groups
A Grief Support Group, for anyone who has ever experienced a loss of a loved one, is being offered to anyone in the community wanting to participate. This Support Group will be offered 3 times per year -- February and March, June and July, September and October. They will also present a 3 week class, "Surviving the Holidays" in November.
The support group will be held on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the Stephen Ministry Room of First Congregational United Church of Christ, located at 1000 Willson Avenue, in Webster City, Iowa. This room is accessible via and elevator or stairway to the basement of the church. The support group is non-denominational -- anyone needing a grief support group is invited to attend.
You can enroll in a support group by calling the church office at 515-832-2232, and by giving your name and phone number.

Adult Health Clinics are available to any person in Wright County, ages 50 or older (bring your own clippers and files). The suggested donation for foot care is $10.
