Caregiver's Support Group in Clarion
Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Center is hosting a monthly support group for caregivers. It is jointly sponsored by the facility, the Alzheimer's Association, Iowa Hospice, and Wright County Public Health and Hospice. Meetings are held every second Thursday of the month from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The support group is for those that are caregivers to someone in a care facility or for those living in the home. Clarion Wellness & Rehabilitation Center's Activities Department will be providing entertainment for your loved one during the meeting. Clarion Wellness & rehabilitation Center is Located at 110 13th Ave. S.W. in Clarion, Iowa.

Grief Support Group in Clarion
"Understanding Your Grief", including "Grief and the Holidays", series is being offered by Wright County Health Department and Hospice for Wright County. They are holding their fall education meetings to help you understand the journey of grief. Meeting with others and exploring how death challenges us is part of the weekly sessions. The support group will be held in a group setting where you can share or just listen. The last meeting will focus on the holidays and grief.
The Grief Support Group will meet at the Wright County Health Department, located at 115 1st Street S.E., in Clarion, Iowa. Sessions will be held from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm beginning Tuesday, November 19th and will meet for five consecutive Tuesdays. The last session will be held on Tuesday, December 17th. The series is free of charge and every who has experienced a loss is welcome to attend.

Annual Christmas Party for the Electrolux Ladies
The Annual Christmas Party for the "Electrolux Ladies" will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at the 2nd Street Emporium in Webster City. The party will begin at 11:30 am.
Please bring one $5.00 gift for the Gift Exchange, and three $1.00 gifts for the Bingo prizes.

United Church of Christ, located at 1115 SW 2nd Street in Eagle Grove, is holding a "Christmas Coffee and Bazaar and Bake Sale", on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. Come and Bring Friends!!
Eagle Grove Community Blood Drive
There is going to be an Eagle Grove Community Blood Drive, held on Tuesday, Decmeber 17, 2013 from 2:00pm to 6:00 pm. This event is taking place at United Church of Christ, Bloodmobile, located at 1115 SW 2nd Street in Eagle Grove.

Looking for Ethnic Holiday Treats for ACE
All Cultures Equal, located at 1440 East Second Street in Webster City, is hosting an International Holiday Festival on Saturday, December 14, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This family event is part of Webster City Winter Wonderland and features traditional holiday food, music, and games from around the world.
ACE is still looking for great cooks to make and share samples of their favorite ethnic holiday treats. The name of the treat and the country they are from will be listed beside the samples. If people are willing to share recipes or would like to take orders to make more, they are welcome to provide that information. The samples should be on a plate or in a container that is ready to display and that might also be a representative of the country the food is from. ACE elves will help serve the samples, or the contributors can come to the event to serve and celebrate.
International Hoiday Festival
Tantilize your taste buds, inspire the holiday spirit, enlighten global awareness, and celebrate cultural traditions at All Cultures Equal's first International Holiday Festival. This family Winter Wonderland event take place on Saturday, December 14, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at All Cultures Equal , located at 1440 East Second Street in Webster City.
Several people from the area are preparing and sharing samples of their favorite ethnic holiday treat representing countries from around the globe. Sampling holiday foods in a festive environment is one of the three things going on at the event. There will be Christmas music from a variety of countries and fun games that are common to many cultures. Admission is FREE!
Christmas at the Bridge
"Christmas at the Bridge" will be held Saturday, December 14th from 9:00- noon. This is a free family event where adults and kids come and pick out a present for someone they care about. The Bridge will be filled with tables of toys, books, clothing, treats, tools, candles, gift cards, baskets, stuffed animals, coloring books, crayons, all sorts of gifts...Christmas music fills the air with the sights and sounds of the Holiday season. Volunteers will be ready to help make a Christmas card and wrap and decorate the present. Refreshments will be served. All families from our community are invited to come to this free event! On Saturday, December 21st at 7:00pm at the Bridge WCCOC is hosting a Blue Christmas Service. This non-traditional service will be a comfort to those who are hurting, lonely, mourning and stressed out. Christmas can be a hard season and you don't have to be alone or pretend that things are great. This is a community wide event and anyone is welcome.
