Stanhope Volunteer Fire/EMS Department is having a Soup Luncheon on Sunday, March 13th from 11-1 at the Stanhope Community Center. Choose from Chicken Noodle Soup or Chili for a free-will donation. Proceeds will go toward raising money for new turn out gear. Everyone is welcome!

The Clarion High School will host a Free Coin Show on Saturday, April 9th from 8-4. Organized by the 50 members of the Clarion Coin Club, this event will feature 16 vendors from 3 states. Expect 2 dozen tables of U.S. coins, currency, stamps, medals, tokens, trading cards, gold and silver, collecting supplies and more.

"Teen Lounge" at Kendall Young Library in Webster City

"Teen Lounge" is a program offered this fall, at the Kendall Young Library, located at 1201 Willson Avenue in Webster City, starting Monday, August 24, 2015, and will continue through May 31, 2016. This is a program for teens in 6th grade through 12th grade. It will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. On Monday, August 24, 2015 and Tuesday, August 25, 2015, the program will begin immediately after school, due to those two days being let out early from school. Any SCHEDULED DAYS OF EARLY OUT FROM SCHOOL, the program will start immediately after school is out. On CANCELLED DAYS OF SCHOOL, there will be NO program. Call 832-9100 for any questions.

2nd Annual Blessing of the Bikes

The 2nd Annual Blessing of the Bikes will be held on Saturday, May 7th at the MAC Life Church in Blairsburg. Start out with breakfast served by AWANA clubbers and leaders and specialty coffees from the baristas in The Café. The cost is $10 for breakfast which includes a $5 ticket to Hemken Car Museum. there will be a special message from Pastor Ron Lotz at 9:30 then at 10:30 we'll hit the road for the 2016 Family Resource Ride to benefit the Lighthouse Center of Hope in Iowa Falls. Bring a gift card from Hy-Vee, Fareway or Walmart to cover ride entry. Suggested $15 per rider or $25 per couple. Ride stops include Wright Freedom Rock in Dows, Lunch in the park with small fund raising opportunities and live music in Clarion then on to Iowa Falls to deliver gift cards to the Lighthouse Center of Hope. Kickball Tournament starts at 11:00 am. 8-10 players ($3 per person) Teams may be comprised of any combination of adults and kids. Trophies will be awarded to the champion and runner up kickball teams. BBQ Contest: Are you a master griller? Dust off your tastiest pork loin or chicken recipes and register for the Kick It! BBQ It! contest. First place will be awarded by honorary judges and second place will go to the people's choice winner. No entry fee for BBQ contestants.
