Iowa football signs 2nd consecutive Top 25 recruiting class

The Iowa Hawkeyes saw one of their most prolific signing days ever, as the Hawkeyes picked up signing day commits from Landyn Van Kekerix, Brian Allen Jr., Orlando Trader, Koen Entringer and TJ Hall to cap off Kirk Ferentz’s 2nd-straight Top 25 class, per 247 Sports.

The Hawkeyes class sat with a ranking of 49th in the country for their 2022 recruiting class entering the month of December. Momentum changed with the signing of 5-star prospect and former Southeast Polk Ram, Xavier Nwankpa on December 8th. Nwankpa’s commitment opened the doors for the signing day commitments and has given the Hawkeyes plenty of momentum in 2023.

Other signees in Iowa’s 2022 class include Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year and former Southeast Valley lineman Aaron Graves, former Ballard Bomber lineman Kale Krogh and 4-star running back Kaleb Johnson. Iowa takes on Kentucky in the Citrus Bowl on New Years Day.
