South Hamilton volleyball season ends against Woodward-Granger, 3-2

The South Hamilton Hawks opened up Class 2A, Region 3 action on Wednesday night as they hosted the Woodward-Granger Hawks. Woodward-Granger enter Tuesday with a record of 10-20 as members of the West Central Activities Conference.

The match started out very favorably for South Hamilton as they picked up wins in the first two sets by scores of 25-21 and 25-23. Woodward-Granger would storm back, however, picking up wins in the next two sets by scores of 25-18 and 25-23, leading the match to the ultimatum with the fifth set. Woodward-Granger was able to eek past South Hamilton in the final set 15-10, to send the Hawks to the regional semifinal.

With the loss, South Hamilton finishes its season with a 12-17 record. Woodward-Granger advances to the Region 3 semifinal, where they will face Class 2A #10 South Hardin in Eldora.
