Eagle Grove picks up 1st win in 3 years against Paton-Churdan, 3-0

The Eagle Grove volleyball team hadn’t won a game since August 25th, 2018, when they defeated Belmond-Klemme in a weekend tournament. 77 games later, the Eagles finally got back into the win column, on the Eagles senior night, nonetheless.

Eagle Grove had a tight contest with Paton-Churdan in set 1, as the Eagles were able to scrape by, with a final of 25-18. The Eagles went on to dominate the game from there, as they won set 2, 25-9 and owned the final set, by a score of 25-6, to earn a 3-0 sweep of the Rockets, and their first win in over 3 years.

Three different Eagles finished with 4 kills on the night, including Addyson Jeske, Alexa Jeske and Maddie Kaiser. Kaiser was also one of 4 Eagles with 2 assists on the night, along with Braxton Steil, Suzi Kaiser and Calli Steil.

Eagle Grove will face off with Belmond-Klemme in the 1st round of district play next week
