Another meeting of the South Hamilton Community School Board will be this evening at 6:00 at the middle school high school building board room in Jewell. The board will receive recognition and certificates for their work from the Iowa Association of School Boards during the observance of School Board Recognition Month. The agenda will include a review of the three year lease for a radio base station and antenna, an update on the new concession stand project, consider the renewal of a shared human resource position with the Roland Story school district, a look at outsourcing janitorial services, review protocols and training for suicide prevention and postvention,approve the senior class for graduation, set fees for next school year, approve banking services bids, and first reading on board policies for facilities rental and students.
The South Hamilton school board will meet in a closed session to discuss wages and salary increases for support staff and administration with the contracts for the support staff and administration to follow. There will be reports by principals Scott Dryer and Paul Hemphill and superintendent Ken Howard.
