The next meeting of the Webster City City Council will be Monday,March 18 at 5:30 in the city hall council chamber. The agenda will include the appointment of Cody Seiser to the Webster City Youth Advisory Commission for the term ending May 31,2019,hold the second reading on proposed ordinances for amending the chapter for community protection involving general provisions and repealing a chapter in the city ordinance for junk and junk vehicles. There will be the first reading on ordinances on sewer rental and on industrial sewer use compliance enforcement. The council will set Monday, April 1 at 5:35 p.m. for a public hearing for a proposed purchase agreement for city-owned property located in the Brewer Creek Estates Fifth and Sixth Additions.
In other matters, the council will consider a resolution to authorize the mayor and city clerk to enter into a standard professional services agreement with Callahan Municipal Consultants, LLC of Anamosa for services in connection with the city manager recruitment process. There will be a motion on a request from the administrative services director in connection with the city hall remodeling project.A three year lease agreement with Ruan Car Leasing and Karl Chevrolet from the police chief for three fully equipped 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe police pursuit vehicles and the installation of police equipment will be looked at by the council. A resolution to authorize and approving an indenture of trust providing for the issuance of revenue bonds, a bond purchase agreement providing for the sale of bonds and other documents related to the bonds will also be a part of the agenda. There will be a resolution authorizing the city manager to enter into an Iowa Department of Natural Resources treatment agreement with Mary Ann’s Specialty Foods,Incorporated. There will also be a discussion on the meeting time of the Webster City city council.
The Webster City city council will meet in a closed session to discuss the purchase and sale of particular real estate in the city.
Monday’s council meeting will be telecast live on Mediacom cable channel 117.2 at 5:30 p.m. with repeat telecasts on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
